January Newsletter

Welcome back to all the staff and students.

We hope you had a great Christmas and New Year.

Last year saw us welcome to the school four new students, they have all settled in well. We also have two new members of staff Louise a key worker and Susan an Occupational Therapist.

As part of Park House School’s development plan, we have acquired the old Methodist Chapel in Thorney. The intention is to use the premises for educational activities and bespoke SEN training.
We are currently using the Chapel for curriculum based activities such as Functional Living Skills and indoor PE. The staff and students are also building a sensory garden in the grounds with money donated by Thomas Cook’s Children’s Charity.
We also now offer the Chapel for hire, out of school hours. Please phone Danielle on the school number if you would like to enquire about availability and costs.

Harry Maher a former pupil at Park House School has just completed the Raleigh International Challenge in Borneo (see   https://raleighinternational.org/  for more details). ‘Well done Harry, we are all very proud of your achievements’. Together with his mum Bernie, he is currently fundraising for the school to enable us to buy equipment for the Functional Living Skills programme.
