Newsletter- Letter from the Directors

Dear Parents and Carers,

As you are aware our current Principal, Tim, will be retiring at the end of this academic year.

Tim joined us originally in 2013 as a volunteer to help us offer Art to our pupils. He organised the Art & Crafts room into a very welcoming place where pupils got up to all manner of creative tasks. Tim then took on the role of Key worker in September 2014, working part time with a new student. A year later he became one of the teachers here at Park House and when Jane retired in December 2016, Tim stepped in to guide the School as Principal from January 2017.

He has led the staff and children through some challenging times with his usual smile and determination to get things done. Under Tim’s tenure, Park House School continues to be sought after by new parents and children. He has given a huge amount of his time and experience to make the school a very welcoming place for both its new and old pupils, their parents and our staff. He will be sorely missed by us all, and we wish him a happy retirement.

We are pleased to inform you that we have appointed Mrs Gemma Simper as our new Principal. Gemma is currently Assistant Headteacher at Churchill Park Academy in King’s Lynn. She comes highly recommended and has a wealth of experience working within special education. She has been working with Tim over the last week, and they will continue to work together over the coming weeks to ensure the transition is as smooth as possible. We are looking forward to welcoming her fully to Park House School from September.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards,

Tacita, Beth, Tom, Jane and Alan
